I'm a student and though the health center provides ec services, the hours didnt work with my schedule for the day, and I couldn't have waited till tommorrow. What a great site. Let me start off by saying, it was a holiday. I didn't know what to do. Unplanned pregnancy is something I just don't want right now. Time is an important factor with emergency contraception so I was in a panic. Through my searching I found your site. At first I was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try. After all it was $25. (A lot less than a pack of diapers, formula, etc...). I placed my order and figured it would take some time. In a few hours I received a confirmation e-mail. First thing the next morning, my pharmacy called and stated my prescription had be phoned in over night and was ready for pick up. I was extremely grateful. I just wanted to say thank you for your invaluable service. I was surprised and dismayed to find that my own OB/GYN does not prescribe emergency contraception, and instead referred me to Planned Parenthood, which had no available appointments for today. My PCP also required me to make an appointment before they would give me a prescription. I was also surprised at the number of pharmacies I had to call before I found one that stocked emergency contraception. Though I do not believe that the emergency contraception method should be used in place of regular birth control, I am a firm believer that it should be provided without hassle. How can I thank you for your professionalism, timely communication, and bravery for offering a service little women think they can have access to? I found myself in an awkward situation about 32 hours ago while having sex with my boyfriend of a year (with whom I lost my virginity at the age of 24 - about one month ago actually), the condom slipped off. Thank you so much for this prompt and much needed service. My regular physician's office was very un-helpful in this matter and I will be seeking a new practice for my next yearly exam. They said they could "squeeze" me in for a consultation possibly on Thursday, many hours after this precautionary measure would have been effective, almost as though they didn't even listen to what I was requesting, or possibly didn't care. I would have liked to say that Planned Parenthood was a help too but the best they could offer was Monday afternoon, again much later than I would prefer having read the literature concerning Emergency Contraceptives. Now I will be able to take preventative measures within 24 hours. You have saved me much anxiety and stress over a product failure. I just wanted to say thank you for enabling me to access Emergency Contraceptives. The Planned Parenthood in my city was closed today for meetings, and I went online not really expecting to find a web site such as yours offering such services. I think its wonderful that there are Dr's who choose to work for an organization such as yours. I don't know if this testimonial will help but my situation was as follows:
I had sexual intercourse and the condom slipped off when he was pulling out, and it so happens that this is the time my body is ovulating! :( I was pretty overwhelmed but held it together planning on going to planned parenthood to deal with it. When I walked up to the door and it was locked with a sign saying they were closed for a meeting, my heart stopped. I went into a nearby store to look at their phone book to find another PP location. I went there and low and behold they were closed! Then I went to the Women's Medical Service Center-they were open but informed me they don't offer ECP. I was devastated. I knew I still had a window of time but since I am ovulating I am pretty insecure about my odds of becoming pregnant. I found this site and the services you provide were so quick and efficient. I took my first pill about two hours later. I am feeling okay right now, and I will take the next one tomorrow morning. I will be sure to post a message with my results in the hopes it may relieve others who find them in a similar predicament.

The Planned Parenthood clinic is closed on Saturdays. Another women's clinic is open, but only until 2, and anyway they're not answering their phone at 11 this morning. Enter www.getthepill.com, conveniently linked from the national PPFA site, which has some wonderful doctors who will prescribe you ECP sight-unseen based on a questionnaire you fill out. I hope these people get fruit baskets or something every year. I hope the weather does whatever they want. I hope their children are clean and well-behaved, and their pets never poop on the carpet. I don't think I could heap enough praises on them right now.
Anyway, so I'm a little relieved. Pill #1 is taken and pill #2 is ready and waiting, so I think I'll go be relieved some more.

To the physicians and staff of getthepill.com, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your service. When I found myself in need of emergency contraception, I contacted my regular gynecologist, only to learn that she wouldn't give me a prescription without seeing me first, and that she had no appointments available until next week...so much for an emergency! I was absolutely sick with worry, fearing that a broken condom might have changed my husband's and my lives forever. When I found your website, it seemed too good to be true. I couldn't believe getting emergency contraception could be that quick and easy, and I was sure at every step that something would go wrong...the website would turn out to be illegitimate, the pharmacy would not fill the prescription, etc. However, a mere 4 hours after I sent my request, I walked out of the pharmacy with my emergency kit in hand, and I could not be more relieved. While I have not used your service, I wanted to tell you that I am a nurse in OB/Gyn field. Our office provides Emergency Contraception on a "walk in" basis for anyone who wants/needs it. Whenever I go over the information we give out I always write your website on the information page. (I of course cleared this with the Boss/Doctor first) so that if the patient is in a situation where she cannot get to us, or has a friend who needs emergency contraception, they have another option.
I am amazed at the number of OB/Gyn offices who will not offer this service! WORSE, the number who think EC is the "abortion pill". I can understand the confusion with the general pubic(almost), but with OB/Gyn doctors and nurses! There is NO excuse! Thank you for providing this service!

I wasn't sure where to write to thank you for your help, but I didn't want to go without doing so after my recent experience with your services.
I had no idea that your site even existed, and as I was searching desperately on a Sunday morning after experiencing failure with my contraception - I have to admit that I was dubious when I found your website. Not wanting to have to wait a day to see my doctor, I gave it a shot and was amazed to find a prescription waiting for me within two hours.
While it's a shame that I had to wend my way through anti-choice websites (making ridiculous claims and extolling the evils of the morning after pill), I was grateful to have found you, and even more grateful that there is an organization dedicated to safe and accessible contraception in a world where attention to women's healthcare is still sorely lacking.
